Chef Dominique

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Born and raised in Haiti, Chef Jerry Dominique, he is not a stranger to the colorful spices of the Caribbean.   At a young age, travelling through the countryside, he developed a love for nature and natural cooking.

For many years, following in his mother’s footsteps, he took pleasure in feeding his young children and friends by creating diverse appetizing dishes to satisfy their budding appetites.

In 2009, Chef Dominique turned his hobby into a career and joined the student body at Le Cordon Blue college of Culinary Arts.

In 2010, he became the Executive Chef at Julio’s Natural Foods Emporium where he developed a passion for healthy cooking.

Combining Haitian spices with the concept of healthy cooking, he transformed bland dishes into culinary work of arts.

Encouraged by patron’s enthusiasm, Chef Dominique branded his new cooking style: “Kocoyeh Cuisine” (Kocoyeh is the creole word for Coconut) and in 2013 he founded KC Healthy Cooking at 11900 Biscayne Blvd. Five years down the road, Chef Dominique strives every day to serve food that leaves the customer feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the day. He believes that contrary to popular notion, eating healthy does not mean that food should be bland and tasteless; eating healthy means expanding your pallet and exposing your taste buds to a world of fresh ingredients, exciting flavors, and energizing meals.

He tells customers every day that KC is their kitchen away from home where they will be treated like his children’ friends, like family.
